Mothers, your quiet faithfulness is not forgotten. Your small, unseen acts of love are deeply significant in the eyes of God. You are shaping souls, building homes, and planting seeds of faith that will bear fruit for generations.
So keep going. Stay faithful in the small things – because with God, nothing is ever truly small.
As Jesus said, “Well done, good and faithful servant!” (Matthew 25:21) – may every mother hear those words and know that her impact is eternal. We cannot forget that there are women who cannot fulfill their desire to be mothers, who have been looking for children to adopt but can’t find one, while millions of children are aborted each year by their very mothers who are supposed to love and protect them. God forgive them, they know not what they do. And this is what we are celebrating today. We are celebrating mothers because through their hands God cares for us when we are in need, through their mouths God speaks to us words of consolation when we are heartbroken, through their heart God pours out to us his unconditional love that never gives up on us. That is the meaning of an old Jewish proverb that says, “God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers.”
A mother who walks with God, loves faithfully, and serves her family with grace is a priceless gift.
Dear mother, your life may not always be center stage, but it is center-heart to God. He sees you – in the quiet, in the chaos, in the fatigue, and in the faithfulness. And He delights in you. Live for the Audience of One. Let His eyes, His approval, and His reward be your joy. Because what you do matters – to your family, to the church, and most importantly, to God.
When we talk of mother, we mean all mothers, including single mothers, step-mothers, adopted mothers, and even spiritual mothers. Their task as mothers is the most important task in the world. Today we acknowledge it and we say, “God bless you Mothers.”
